Policies & safeguarding

We take the safety of everyone who uses this building seriously — particularly children, young people and adults at risk. Our working policies are available in full from the church office.

Our policies

Copies of any of the following are available on request — ask the office and we will send the current version.

  • Safeguarding policy

How we protect children, young people and adults at risk, who is responsible, and what to do if you have a concern.

  • Health and safety

Fire procedures, first aid, risk assessment and the safe use of the building by church groups and outside hirers.

  • Data protection

What personal information we hold, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and how to ask for a copy or its removal.

  • Complaints

How to raise a concern about anything that happens at the church, and how it will be handled.

  • Equal opportunities

Our commitment in employment, volunteering and participation in the life of the church.

If you have a safeguarding concern

Please raise it straight away. Our Safeguarding Officer is Paul Davidson, and you can reach him through the church office.

If a child or adult is in immediate danger, call 999 first.

DBS checks

Everyone working with children, young people or adults at risk is DBS-checked before they start. Checks are arranged and paid for by the church.

Additional needs

Linda Lemon is our Additional Needs Coordinator. If there is something that would make coming here easier for you or your child, please tell us — we would far rather know.
