Sundays

What happens on a Sunday

We meet every Sunday morning at 10.30am, and again in the evening at 6.00pm. Services last about ninety minutes and take in singing, prayer, preaching and interaction from groups within the church.

Morning worship

10.30am

Our main service, with groups for children and young people partway through.

Evening service

6.00pm

A quieter gathering in the evening.

Communion

1st & 3rd

Communion is celebrated on the 1st and 3rd sundays of the month.

Length

~90 mins

Followed by tea, coffee and conversation for as long as you like.

In the service

A mixed congregation, and mixed music to match.

Our congregation is a diverse one — mixed ages, mixed nationalities, people at very different points in life and in faith. The music reflects that: a healthy mix of traditional church organ and a contemporary band.

Words for the songs and hymns go up on TV screens around the building, so there is nothing to find in a book. Large-print Bibles, hymns and song words are available — just ask.

There is no dress code. You are welcome to simply observe, or to participate as much as feels comfortable. At the end of the service a prayer team is available for anyone who would like prayer, and there is no obligation to speak to them.

Before you set off

  • ArriveAim for about fifteen minutes early. The welcome team will be at the front entrance.
  • ParkingRear parking is very limited. Street parking nearby, or the Racecourse Park car park.
  • Find us147–155 Kettering Road, Northampton NN1 4BS

Using the rear car park? Register your vehicle on the tablet as soon as you enter the building. The car park is ANPR-monitored, and fines are issued automatically to unregistered vehicles.

Children & young people

Three groups, and no pressure either way.

Children start the service with everybody else and head out to their own groups partway through. Every leader is DBS-checked. If you would rather keep your children with you in the service, that is completely fine — nobody will mind.
  • Under 2s

    Sparklers

A crèche with toys and activities, and space for parents to be with their little ones without worrying about the noise.

  • Ages 3–11

    Ignite

Children explore who God is through creative prayer, games, crafts and discussion.

  • Ages 11–18

    Rock Solid

A discussion-based group where the questions young people bring set the agenda.
